FAQs
Do we take Insurance?
Yes. Chiropractic care does have some coverage with most health insurance plans. Unfortunately, in the ever-changing healthcare landscape, many insurances are limiting the care you can receive. Our office has chosen to no longer limit our patients care. While we do still accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, Health Choice, and Medicare, we have decided our patient’s health is the most important thing. The good news is that many insurances also have out of network benefits that can be similar to their in-network benefits. We also offer multiple discounts and payment options so that you can focus on your health and not be worried about the cost.
Can I get adjusted after having spinal surgery?
Every situation is unique, but yes, it's generally okay to get chiropractic adjustments after back surgery. Our chiropractic team will carefully review your imaging and other doctor notes to make sure you're a good candidate for post-surgery adjustments.
Surgery often weakens the surrounding joints and muscles because they overcompensate during the recovery process. Chiropractic care can tackle these issues without disturbing the area where you received surgical treatment.
When will I get adjusted?
At Revive Family Chiropractic, we do not take your health lightly. We will never guess with your health. For that reason, we hold of on starting care until your second visit to make sure that there is no reason that we should not adjust you. Would you want a surgeon to operate without any review of your images and knowing exactly what they need to do? Chiropractic works the same way. Once we determine that there are no contraindications, we will immediately begin care and work towards optimizing your health!
Why should children be adjusted and is it safe?
Many chiropractors take care of children. In fact, some parents bring their children in for visits shortly after birth. If you wait until your child gets older, you may notice they have neck or back pain. These are common complaints regardless of whether your kids lead active or sedentary lifestyles. Active kids can knock their spine out of alignment as they run, jump, or fall. Screen time has become so prevalent with ever advancing technology. Children often experience neck pain or aches related to the strain these screens cause. So, yes, chiropractic care is appropriate for children. In fact, we insist on seeing children to keep them as healthy as possible.
Can you get adjusted while pregnant?
Chiropractic care is safe during pregnancy, but it's important to find a chiropractor who has specific training for pregnancy. Luckily, Dr. Jake is certified in Webster technique, which is designed for treatment of expecting mothers and babies. Many patients find that chiropractic care helps alleviate the aches commonly associated with pregnancy.
